My grandmother is 83 years old. she has atrial fibrillation, had a stroke and has chronic pulmonary embolism. she is on xarelto 20mg daily. 48 hours ago she felt dizzy and fell, bruising her head. only headache that subsided. what to do with xarelto?

Given that your grandma was on a blood thinner and fell, she needs to be evaluated to make sure she is not having a slow bleed. ( subdural hematoma). You should be on the look out for any changes in mental status, sleepiness, equilibrium, etc. She may need a head CT to exclude a subdural hematoma. You should communicate with her doctors regarding the Xarelto.
