Age old question: This is an issue many people face. I think along with continuing proper diet and exercise, two other things:. First, nicotine supplementation can aid in keeping appetite at smoking level and you can slowly wean yourself off. Be aware: By far, the best thing you are doing is trying to quit smoking. Nothing but bad things can occur with smoking, so stopping is very important. The other thing is you are already aware that stopping, may cause some weight gain in some people. Be aware of this and monitor your diet as part of the stop smoking program you choose. Count calories, chew gum, avoid overeating. Best wishes.
