Spine Pain: Our lumbar spine typically has 5 bones l1-l5. Some people have an additional 6th bone (l6). Rare that people have a 7th bone. Either way, since it has been 4 years since your accident the typical healing period for a disc herniation has passed. You should probably seek advice from a spine specialist doctor who may need to determine if injections, physical therapy or surgery may be warranted.
