Bleeding irregularly: Depending on your desire for future fertility, an excellent option would be a uterine ablation if you are finished with having children. It is safe, quick, and with little to no downtime.

More information: If your periods are heavy, and your doctor has ruled out an architectural problem like a fibroid or polyp as the cause, it's hormonal & it has to be treated with hormones. If you're done childbearing, you can consider an endometrial ablation? If you're at risk for uterine cancer, your doctor may want you to take Progesterone (in form of iud) to help prevent cancer. Regardless, there are option.
