Could be: New onset cramping could be from a change in exercise routine (fatique) or a medication. Hydrochlorothiazide is commonly associated with this. Fluid and electrolyte shifts of every kind have been blamed for cramping. We do not have a definitive cause or treatment. In general, volume and salt losses tend to lead to cramps.
