A member asked:

What cause someone to shiver in the middle of intercourse?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Autonomic Nervous Sy: Stem (ANS) is activated during sexual intercourse. The sympathetic nervous system (sns) contributes piloerection (goosebumps for thermogenesis) and causes ejaculation in males. The parasympathetic nervous system (pns) gives rise to erections in males. Coordination of this system during intercourse is integral and not infrequently there is 'spillover' with activation of other parts of the ans.
