A member asked:

What's causes pain during sex intercourse?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Dyspareunia: Dyspareunia is defined as pain during intercourse. No, it is not better than no "pareunia at all". There are many causes including inadequate lubrication, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, cervical or vaginal lesions, a clumsy male partner, and more. Your GYN MD can help you sort out the causes by elimination. It can be embarrassing to discuss to you, but as a MD we hear it all the time & can help.
