My eyes keep sweeling up what can the cause be?

Lid swelling: Eyelid swelling can be seen commonly with environmental allergies, whether airborne like pollen or direct contact allergies (allergy to detergents used to wash pillow cases, for example). Sometimes the eyes will swell overnight due to generalized edema of the body, due to gravity. Sleeping with the head elevated can help prevent this. Infections and inflammation of the lids can also cause swelling.

Eye swelling: There are many causes of eye swelling, including infection, allergy and trauma, as well as aging changes of the eyes. If the symptoms come and go, this is most likely not due to injury or infection. If the problem persists, talk to your ophthalmologist about possible treatment options.
