Bugs and topamax (topiramate): Great question. The feeling of bugs crawling on you is called formication. Out of the 20 thousand patients studied on topamax (topiramate) , about 30 people reported formication. It is a possible side effect, but extremely rare. Talk to your physician. If it persists slowly wean off meds and see if it gets better.
