A member asked:

Does aa childs ear bleed when their tubes fall out?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, it is possible.: Tubes are usually fairly innocuous, causing little trouble for both parent & child. However, on occasion there can be concern of ear bleeding or ear drainage that worries. As a pediatrician, over the years, I have seen some bleeding from the ears when the tubes have worked their way out of the eardrum--more often I have seen ear bleeding from other causes. Have md examine the ear canal to be sure.
