A member asked:

What happens if anaemia is not treated?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fatigue, tired: Initially the symptoms are feeling tired, doing regular chores drains one; dizziness on standing; the distance of walking decreases and shortness of breath can occur; in advanced stages (meaning much lower hemoglobin levels) especially in patients with atherosclerosis of blood vessels (plaques) there is risk of heart strain or decrease in blood supply to vital organs which include brain, kidney.
