Collagen in connective tissue provided strength. In the skin, muscles, ligaments, blood vessels and organs, collagen plays a significant role and with increased elasticity they may not work right, leading to increased bruising.

Elastic fibers: The condition is a disorder of elastic fibers and since they provide the support to blood vessels , if they are not normal, the poor quality framework leads to easy disturbed blood vessels and bruising.
