Cauterized Scars: This is a difficult question to answer without knowing the exact depth of the cauterization and why the face was cauterized. Any injury involving the full thickness of the skin should leave a permanent scar. If the outer layers of the skin were cauterized, theoretically there should be minimal scarring.
