Swollen lip: If there is no open wound like a cut or abrasion, start with ice. This will help decrease swelling pretty effectively. If there is a cut or scrape, you can apply an antibiotic ointment. If redness and swelling start despite this, it could be infected and you may very well need some antibiotics. Need to see your doctor to get an appropriate prescription.
