Do ear infections usually take long to cure?

It depends: After taking antibiotics for couple of days, some ear infection (i mean middle ear infection by bacteria) may be cleared. However, the recommended treatment course is usually 10 days of antibiotics. Some otitis media can be hard to treat due to resistant bacteria. Middle ear fluid can be a residual after infection but only requires observation. Hopefully it helps.
