Not necessarily,: But it doesn't hurt to get your blood pressure checked on a routine basis. It should be checked during most office visits to physicians, and you can go to many fire/ems stations to get a free check from a trained person.

Not related: Those are not symptoms of hypertension, they sound like anxiety symptoms. Hypertension usually has no symptoms unless it is sky high.

Don't know: There are many reasons for sweaty arm pits and nervousness, hypertension is typically not a cause of those although the reverse is true.
