See below: Home cervical traction is commonly used for patients with degenerative disc disease and avoiding surgery. Proper application and use should not cause any further damage or disease then what you already have. Outpatient physical therapy with a physical therapist who specializes in the neck and back would be helpful. I do not recommend any type of manipulative therapy. Go see an orthopedic spine surgeon or neurosurgeon for further recommendations. This doesn't mean you have to have surgery get an evaluation and they will review the benefits risks and alternatives of treatment good luck thank you.
