Is it true that if you feel faint and lie down you can't pass out?

Better to lie down: Because, if you do pass out, you don't fall and break your head.Feeling faint is often because the blood pressure is low and your head/ brain will get more blood if you lie down. Then your body is no longer working against gravity and it may keep you from passing out.We still don't know the cause of the faintness and one should seek medical attention to help figure out what's wrong.
