GLANDULAR FEVER: Other name: infectious mononucleosis/ mono, caused by epstein-barr virus. Human are only reservoir. Transmission: from saliva by close contact/ kissing; from blood transfusion. Recovery by 2-4 wks. Fatigue, malaise may wax and wane for wks to months. U can shed virus more than 6 mo. Then intermittently. Go back to work when better, start slowly, avoid contact sports/pe until full recovery.
