A member asked:

Can mild iron deficiency cause an enlarged spleen? if so, would spleen automatically return to normal with iron supplement?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Be seen.: The iron deficiency may be caused by the spleen chewing up red blood cells...And that leads to the iron deficiency. You should be seen and evaluated. Could be a mild hemolytic anemia from meds or a hereditary problem not yet detected ...It would be best if you were seen.
