To a limited extent: To answer this question, one needs information on all cardiovascular risk factors. To prevent arteriosclerosis, get them checked, then take measures to normalize any abnormal ones. Exercise regularly (use every opportunity to move briskly during daily activities such as walking anywhere one has to go), avoid sedentary lifestyle. Vegetarian or mediterranean diet is best. Sleep 7 hrs/night.
