Constipation: Hemorrhoids are extremely rare in a toddler. The purple color is likely congestion as a result of constipation. Constipation will cause the color, bleeding and pain with stools. If there is a very red color with a distinct border surrounding the anus, that is usually due to streptococcus and is very painful.
