Not usually: Low heart rate can be caused by medications or a problem in the heart depends on how low the rate- check with your doctor to see if you need to visit cardiologist.

Lumbar puncture: A spinal tap would not normally cause a low heart rate, if you have a persistent low heart rate that is symptomatic a consultation with a cardiologist would be the best route to go.
