I had tb test done. its been 24 hours and is slightly red at the site about the size of a nickel. no bump. is this positive?

Not positive: You need to wait 48 hour to be able to interpret the test, but the redness does not matter. What determines a positive test is the size of the bump, and the size of the bump is considered in relation to the risk category that you are in. For most people the bump needs to be 10 mm or bigger to be called positive.

TB test: Tb test is read in between 48 to 72 hours. 24 hours too early. The positive test shows hardness or bump at the site of injection. It is the hardness and not the redness makes it positive, no matter how large the red area is. Thanks.
