Yes: You can ovulate if you have been off birth control for a year and had no period. A woman will ovulate and then have a period. However when a woman is not having periods the chance of ovulation and therefore pregnancy is low. It is important to check out why a woman isn't ovulating, so see your doctor if you haven't already.
