HPT: Oral contraceptives are not 100% effective, so it is possible to become pregnant. Healthy babies are usually born with this scenario. However, rather then fretting - why not take a pregnancy test.

No...: Standard, fda-approved birth control pills in the usa do not contain any hormones or chemicals that cause harm to the fetus. Many women become pregnant while on birth control. Please check the specific type of pill you were using and confirm this with your physician though.
