Will a ?brain aneurysm show up on a scan?

Depends: On scan type, image quality, aneurysm size (if present), and the radiologist's skill. These are usually detected by ct angiograms, and are then followed by conventional cerebral angiography (if needed) for pre-interventional planning and/or coiling. Aneurysm scans: Not always. Sometimes aneurysms can spontaneously clot off, especially after rupture. In that case it would be suggested to consider conventional four-vessel cerebral angiography to better elucidate the presence of vascular abnormality.
