Normal: This can be normal-giveit one-two days; apply vaseline twice daily.

Could be allergy: If you're using an antibiotic, like neosporin or others, it could be causing an allergic reaction at the site. I've seen this happen fairly often. A yeast infection of the wound area is another reason why a biopsy site could be red and itchy.
