Ibuprofen: On a short term basis no problem however is can cause gastic upset or ulcers if used continually. There is also an effect on your kidneys from long term use.

Maximum dose...: Is 3200mg per day in divided doses. You are well under that maximum, so it should be ok for a short period of time. Just don't take that many for too long. If the discomfort is too much, there are better medications or treatment modalities.
