10 yr old complains of epigastri pain, what could be wrong?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Most likely GERD: Stomach issues, such as heartburn (or gastroesophageal reflux = gerd), are a likely culprit in this age group. What things make it better or worse? When does it happen? How long has it been going on? Seeing his/her health care provider can help sort things out. You could do a trial of something like zantac (ranitidine) or even Tums to see if it helps. I hope he/she feels better soon.
