Pain with eating: 10 year olds don't often complain of pain with eating, which they usually love to do. Ask some questions: is it just once or regularly? Does the child have any history of constipation? Does anyone in the family have irritable bowel syndrome; kids can get it to and have pain and bloating with meals, relieved by a bowel movement. Generally safe & helpful treatments include antacids or alka seltzer.
