Tonsillitis: Pain when swallowing, occasional ear pain and slight fever. With the body aches, i would lean more towards a viral cause of your sore throat. For a definitive diagnosis, i would see your doctor.

Tonsils...: ...Are the lumps on the two sides of the throat; when they are inflamed, that's called tonsillitis. Symptoms are usually: sore throat, fever, stomach ache is also possible, as well as difficulty swallowing.
