Continue Rx: Burns resulting in redness, tenderness should get better with continued use of burn cream and time. Second degree burns with blistering will take longer. Using silvadene (silver sulfadiazine) cream for second degree burns helps, and in both instance, wrapping with gauze helps cut down on pain.

Deep burns: Will need to make sure that there are no deep 2nd degree burns. Silvadene (silver sulfadiazine) cream applied twice daily to the area of burns will help with the healing process. Need to prevent infection. May also need to see a physician for close monitoring.
