Consider acid reflux: If your cardiac workup - echo, ekg, and bloodwork are all normal, you could be showing signs of chronic acid reflux. It depends on where on the left side it is and what brings it on, how often, what makes it better/ worse, and what other symptoms go with the pain. If it is acid reflux, you need to take an antacid, possibly prescription strength, daily.

Left chest pain: If i were to rule out heart issues, i'd go for a cardiac stress test. Other than heart issues, i would examine the back as it may give rise to the pain.
