Lexapro (escitalopram): Lexapro (escitalopram) is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor and therefore may help increase the level of serotonin. Other mediators such as norepinephrine and Dopamine are altered but not significantly. Autonomic nervous system is regulated primarily by Epinephrine and nor-epinephrine so I am not sure if Lexapro (escitalopram) would work. Tricyclic antidepressants seem to be a better choice.

Lexapro (escitalopram): Lexapro (escitalopram) may help to reduce anxiety and prevent depression in an individual with pots. In fact, it does not effect the heart function or regulate the hypotension which causes the syndrome, but it does improve the overall health. The treatment of pots is based on diet and exercise. As a physiological response to a disbalanced noradrenergic system, pots does not constitute an illness in itself.
