Possibly: A low potassium (hypokalemia) level can result in the mental symptoms of confusion, which might be experienced initially as "wierd". Hypokalemia-induced palpitations and odd sensations of numbness/tingling in a person susceptible to an anxiety disorder, can actually trigger not just mikd anxiety buy also a panic attack. If present, hypokalemia can be dangerous. Call your doctor and get evaluated.
