Don't know: Without knowing what condition the man had, it is impossible to tell if there was any risk of contact with the individual.

See below: Very unlikely but nothing is impossible. Warts are caused by viruses that set up shop in the lowest layer of the skin called the basal cell layer and then cause irregular growth of the skin cells - the wart itself. The virus is contagious like any other but casual very brief contact would be unlikely to transmit the virus.

Unlikely: Hpv virus causes papillomas , they are not that virulent , causl contact is not usual way of transmission , appear to need more constant , repeated contact , may ven need some break in the integrity ( abrasion ) at implantation , ' the person ' you describe may not be warts don't worry your kid will not get them , teach good hygiene , frequent hand washing , foe girl consider vaccination
