Complement: Typically not. Complement is activated and responsive to bacteria, fungi and some immune complexes. Viruses do not typically have any affect on complement levels other than an acute phase reactant that can boost levels. Chronic hep c infections have been shown to suppress total complement and C4 levels, but that is prior to treatment.
