Myelodysplasia: If I understand your question - myelodysplasia = dysmelopoiesis. In roughly 80% of the cases there is no known cause. However, there is a genetic relationship since this condition is related to certain types of leukemias. In you question - a virus might trigger MDS but once the virus clears the MDS unfortunately stays behind and will likely need to be treated. Good luck
