Neither--more food: In my practice, very few patients on seroquel (quetiapine) or other medications gain weight. It seems as though most antipsychotics tend to decrease the sensitivity to the satiety center in the brain, which causes a person to eat and not notice they are full. The way to avoid gaining weight is to carefully monitor your portion sizes. Don't snack out of the bag...Use small plates.
