Can amitriptyline cause me to be dehydrated? i drink at least 164oz of water a day but i still feel thirsty and er dr said i was dehydrated.

Amitrypline: Amitrypline or ellavil can cause anticholinergic side effects and cause dry mouth and constant thirst.

Amitriptyline: Dry mouth is a common side effect, making one feel thirsty. Dehydration is not listed as an official side effect, but some patients have claimed it. Of course, get evaluated for other causes of chronic dehydration like diabetes.
