Home pergnancy: Tests are ver accurate, especially by the time you miss your period. There are other reasons you can miss your period. It is likely that you did not ovulate this month. If no period in 3 months it is called primary ammennorea. Irregular ovulation is not unusual so do not panic. The birth control pill may prove helpful if periods become irregular. Good luck.

It depends: The earliest way to tell if you are pregnant is with an early detection pregnant test done on your first voided urine in the morning. This can be positive even a few days before a missed period. Your doctor's exam should be able to tell if it has been more than 4 weeks since ovulation.
