Probably not: In the setting of a missed period and a negative pregnancy test, the most likely explanation is a delayed or absent ovulation with your last cycle. This is very common, but if it is a recurrent problem, birth control pills are an excellent way to regulate your cycle and prevent unplanned pregnancies.
