Yes: Gradually reduce frequency of application form twice a day to once a day to every other day and every third day. For a mild case this will keep eczema under control and decrease potential thinning of skin.

Eczema management: Eczema is known to recur despite adequate treament. You are lucky to know that yours responds well to cream moisturizers. Use them as often as necessary stopping the application when your skin gets better. If you need to use steroid creams in severe cases, stop its use on the first sign of improvement and continue with a moisturizer. Reduce frequency of soap and water showers and handwashings.

Eczema: Some patients can. However the ability to stop moisturizers can be related to the season. A lot of eczema patients do well in the summer and never need any treatment. Others might need to use a moisturizer all of the time. When winter comes and the skin dries many pts flare and need steroids too. Every pt is a little different.
