Usually ok: In an emergency, you might have to put water directly from the faucet onto your eye. If not an emergency, you can carefully wash your hands and then splash water that you catch in your hands onto your eyes.

Be careful: In general, you should not flush your eyes with water from any source unless there is a good reason to do so, such as a chemical injury. Tap water contains contaminants and organisms, including parasites, which can cause severe eye infections or visual loss. Flush the eyes with commercially available artificial tears instead.
