Stiffness: Could be stiffness judging from your age and gender. Although there are many other possibilities, from limited medical history my guess would be stiffness and recommend stretching your ankles in the morning and before you go to bed. Also, staying hydrated is important especially in this type of summer. Hope this helps.

Could be: Arthritic pain or synovitis to ankle joint. If continues see podiatrist to head off something more serious.
