Stop: Stop generic. See doctor for eval. May be there is ulceration. Preservatives in the same drug can be different and frequently reaction is not to the drug, but to the other components in the preparation. Most likely your fissura became inflamed or ulcerated. Do not delay seeing colorectal surgeon.

Different formula: The difference may be in the formulation. It may have a different carrier or the ph (acidity) may be different.
