Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) and blood: Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) does not directly affect your blood sugar. The infection you are being treated for can increase your blood sugar, and treating the infection can lower your blood sugar. Diabetics are more likely to get infections, and more likely to get serious infections.
