Hearing: After an ear infection, the ear drum will be swollen and there could be fluid in the middle ear. Both of these problems need to resolve before your hearing will get better. In children, there are those who take over 3 months for this process. For adults, we don't tolerate it that long. If your hearing isn't back to normal within a month, you should really see an ENT for a full ear evaluation.
