I discourage it: This is a numbing solution for painful ear drums.It has to therapuetic effect and may worsen the swimmers ear.Appropriate antibiotic ear drops would be a better fix.

Just for pain: Those are analgesics or numbing medications. Typical swimmer's ear is a bacterial infection of the outer ear or canal. It requires at a minimum, a drop that acidifies the canal. Some otc swimmer's ear drops that help contain Acetic Acid (vinegar). Often, you need to see an ENT to clean the ear (aural toilet) , culture it, and give you prescription drops.
